This was a very early set, of which I’m still immensly proud as this was from a time I didn’t know much about nail art yet, and most of all, I was still using regular nail polish, which you have to nail the first time, otherwise you can start over completely, so it’s a lot less forgiving, and with it starting to dry as you apply it, you also have to be quite swift with it.
The inspiration was, as you can see of these beautiful japanese pottery bowls I’m absolutely in love with. I did a circular rough ombre to emulate the texture, going from black to blue in the middle. Then I painted the twigs and afterwards did the petals with pearlescent nailpolish that fit this vibe perfectly, and tadaa. Maybe I’ll revisit this idea with my current skillset someday, as I’m still so in love with the look of this pottery and I’m curious wheter I could elevate this motive further.
