Grafik – Layout and Design

Above you can select to view the different parts of my portfolio. A big part of my work was on the student magazine of the University of Stuttgart, Campus Falke, for which I reworked their layout and design. Another big and recent project was for the birthday of our game master in our D&D group, where I made a Tavern’s Board with a bunch of insiders as a poster. Third you can find an assortment of various design work I did over the years. And last but not least, I also do Nail Art and Nail Design, which is a different medium, but I think it showcases my creativity very well.

A lot of the work I did for conceito GmbH sadly can’t be shown here since most of it deals with private client information, or is proprietary.

I started doing Graphic Design and Layout quite early when I got an old Toshiba brick of a laptop with windows 95, and basically only MS Office and Paint. I loved playing around with it and creating pixel art in Paint, as well as making animations in Powerpoint with clip art and playing around to create fun visuals. Those two Programs were my absolute favorite back then and my love for graphic design stuck around.

In school I always wanted to create the actual presentation when we had to hold one, since I had fun picking out fonts and trying to find cool color combinations that made it look more sophisticated than it was.

Then in University I joined the student magazine Campus Falke because I was interested in doing the photography spread, and since they were also looking for someone to do layout I tried it out and immediately loved it. I proposed upgrading it to Din A4 since the previous A5 Format was quite limiting and I got to do a re-design.

I also started doing a personal calendar with my photography for friends and family as a christmas gift and that was another outlet for me to just have fun with graphic design and layout, especially with the covers.

In 2022 I was looking for a new side job and stumbled upon a working student job at conceito GmbH where I got to do a lot of fun different things, from animation and motion graphics over presentation layout and UI design to graphic design and illustrations. I loved getting to do such a breadth of different things and had a lot of fun working there. You can find more info about this job here.

Finally, early in my transition painting my nails was a big way for me to express myself and painting my nails evolved into more complex designs than just plain colors, so nail art stuck around as a hobby and I love creating a visual concept and fitting it into ten nails and creating designs that fit the form they’re confined to. It’s also a lot of fun trying to see what I can accomplish on such a small space.
